About Us
MM Swim Inspiration (MMSI) was founded by Mel Marshall MBE in 2013. Following an illustrious swimming career, the double Olympian and six-time Commonwealth Games Medallist has dedicated her post-swimming life to inspiring and coaching the next generation. Mel is now the National Lead Coach at the British Swimming Centre in Loughborough and personal coach to World Record Holder and Triple Olympic Champion Adam Peaty. Having coached Adam since he was just 14 years old, Mel knows just what it takes to inspire and support young swimmers.
It is under Mel's direction that the MMSI team motivate and inspire 9-16 year old competitive swimmers through a host of unforgettable swimming experiences on our residential swim camps. After attending four Olympics, Mel was keen to bring an Olympic experience to swimmers on home soil. The content and structure of the camp is designed to bring the Olympic experience to life across six days. During the camps, swimmers take part in twice daily pool, landtraining and stretch/mobility sessions, as well as nutrition and sports psychology workshops. Special team activities and challenges such as DRUMBA, wheelchair basketball, yoga and tug of war provide the opportunity for swimmers to develop the necessary non-technical skills to excel in their swimming journey; make new friends for life; enjoy themselves and grow as human beings.
Each camp we welcome Olympic swimmers to meet, talk to and inspire our MMSI campers.
